The course features seven par three’s, eight par four’s and three par fives. There is a natural waterway running through the centre of the course, which comes into play on several holes with lateral hazards and water carries from the tees. The greens are well trapped with over forty bunkers making the course a tight and exacting test of golf.

The course is a challenging but fair 18 holes set over 5804 metres of picturesque, undulating terrain. The Function Centre boasts six different rooms each able to cater up to 200 people. Green Hill Golf and Country Club Peats Ridge Road, Peats Ridge PH: 02 4373 1522 Set in beautiful bush land with sloping contours and superb panoramic views, this course will test the most competent golfer while also offering forward tees for the high markers. The par 72, 18- hole, 6202 metre length course is the longest on the Central Coast. Kincumber Golf & Sports Club Bilinga Road, Kincumber PH: 4368 3783 Established in 1985 the Kincumber Golf and Sports Club operates a nine-hole course and driving range. Kooindah Waters Residential Golf and Spa Resort Kooindah Boulevard, Wyong PH: 02 4351 0700 Kooindah Waters is an 18-hole par 72 championship course designed by leading golf course architect Ross Watson with design input from golf professional Craig Parry. Managed by Troon Golf, Kooindah Waters provides the highest level of service & quality in all aspects, from course conditioning to practice facilities and club house amenities. Divided into three distinct character precincts, the course has been designed to be a "thinking golfer's course" where accuracy, ball placement and imagination will be the keys to scoring well. Sleeper retaining walls and bunkering are used to provide a "rustic" feel with a feature of the layout being the island green on the par 3, 17th hole. Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club Magenta Drive, Magenta PH: 02 4352 8145 Magenta Shores is the only private golf course located on the Central Coast. Members and their guests have the opportunity to play one of the newest and highly ranked courses in Australia right along edge of the Pacific Ocean. Ross Watson designed a traditional championship links golf course, the only one in the area. Its stunning layout and design has seen it win many awards including Golf Australia Magazine’s Best Resort Course in NSW, Best New Course in Australia and No. 6 Resort Course in Australia. Mangrove Mountain Memorial Club and Golf Course Hallards Road, Central Mangrove PH: 02 4373 1129 Located in the hinterland of the Central Coast the club enjoys some of the finest views across the stunning countryside to the ocean beyond. The golf course opened in 1974. Club officials admit in its early days the course was pretty rugged. In fact rumour has it that the surrounding bush was so dense that if a player lost their ball in the rough they would light a fire to clear the rough area to find it! The membership was then 20 and has now grown to 500. Terrigal Memorial Country Club Dover Road, Wamberal PH: 02 4384 2661 This picturesque nine-hole course has a par of 33. With narrow, tree-lined fairways and waterways the course offers a challenge for even the most experienced of golfers. The Breakers Country club is a popular spot for social and corporate events. Toukley Golf Club Key Street, Toukley PH: 02 4396 5811 The 6156-metre, 18-hole championship course boasts two distinct layouts - the front nine holes being flanked on both sides of the fairways by trees, while the back nine are open to the wind, almost links-style. It is this layout that has seen the course labeled one of the Coast’s most challenging. The club today is a far cry from its humble origins when volunteers braved snake-infested swamps to develop the picturesque layout. Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club Shelly Beach Road, Shelly Beach PH: 02 4332 3400 There are not too many golf courses where you can check the surf just as you’ve sunk the ball on the 18th hole. But it is the prime ocean front location that attracts many golfers to Tuggerah Lakes Golf Course at Shelly Beach. It is this spectacular location that makes it a favoured spot for social events, functions and weddings. Wyong Golf Club Pacific Highway, Wyong PH: 02 4352 1361 Built in 1934, Wyong Golf Club boasts well appointed greens and lengthy fairways. The opening drive possesses few dangers and is a nice way to start the round, but water hazards, bunkers and trees add a challenging element to the remaining holes. The clubhouse enjoys expansive views across the course and is a popular spot for functions, social gatherings and weddings. |
