Drug syndicate foiledSeven members of a speed and ecstasy syndicate operating on the Central Coast have been arrested and charged.

Officers yesterday stormed properties at Woongarrah, The Entrance and Terrigal, seizing speed and ecstasy with a street value of around $100,000.

Two men aged 37 and 43 and a 34-year-old women were arrested by police at The Entrance, while a 38-year-old man was taken into custody at a Woongarrah residence.

Two women aged 19 and 20 were also arrested at a luxury Terrigal hotel, while a 56-year-old woman was arrested at Dural in Sydney.

Search warrants executed on the Woongarrah house and another at Pennant Hills allegedly turned up cash and drug paraphernalia.
 
All seven alleged offenders have been charged with a raft of drug-related matters.
 
The 37, 38 and 43-year-old men have been refused bail to appear in Gosford Court this morning, while it’s expected the 56-year-old woman will face Parramatta Bail Court today.
 
Their three co-accused have been granted conditional bail to appear in court at a later date.

Coined ‘Operation Kosmina’, the covert investigation was established earlier this year to target the illegal supply of Methylamphetamine (speed) and MDMA (ecstasy) locally.
